The benefits of singing are both physical and psychological and when people sing together it creates “an increased sense of community, belonging and shared endeavour."
Rehearsals
Rehearsals are always productive and lots of fun. We sing an eclectic mix of popular music from the past 30-40-50 years and a selective mixture of songs from the shows and occasionally some of the more accessible and popular classical songs for choir when it takes our fancy and always expect a great cup of tea at half time!
We perform concerts usually twice a year and have helped in the past seven years to raise thousands of pounds for national and local charities. We sometimes augment our bigger concerts with a live band to help create an exciting musical experience for ourselves and our audiences.
Membership of the choir is just £24.00 per month which includes all rehearsals, music, refreshments, and organised concerts.

I have been making music professionally for most all of my working life. Starting a choir was an ambition held for many years and it's been one of the most rewarding and satisfying musical experiences of my career in music.
The sense of accomplishment taking forty, fifty, sixty and more people on a musical journey from small beginnings to sell out concerts of audiences of 250 and more is very special. I am very proud to be musical director of such a talented and dedicated choir. I wouldn't swap my Monday nights for anything x
